Explore, Create, Innovate ~ Bearcats in STEM! We started our 4th Grade STEM fieldtrips to WHS. Our Engineering Course students extended student learning by making student posters interactive through a playdough circuit. What a great experience for all of our Bearcats!

We want to take a moment to recognize and thank our dedicated UTMS teachers for their hard work on this synchronized e-learning day. They have put in tremendous effort to ensure that each lesson is engaging, accessible, and meaningful for all students. Navigating online learning can be challenging, but our teachers are going above and beyond to create a supportive and effective environment for our children. Thank you for your continued support, and please join us in appreciating the commitment and care our teachers bring to this learning experience.

REMINDER: All UTSC schools will have a virtual learning day Tuesday, November 5th. Check out our elementary Bearcats preparing for synchronized learning! Thank you to our families for your partnership!

Tonight was a celebration of talent, dedication, and the power of music at UTMS! Our students played and sang with such heart, filling the room with energy and emotion that captivated everyone present. Mr. Miller and Ms. Prisby have been incredible mentors, leading by example and inspiring our students to reach their full potential. Their commitment to our students has made such an impact, building both skill and confidence within our young musicians. Our senior internship program offers valuable real-world experience! Mrs.Barnes enjoyed interviewing several students including Avi Widner who was a student of hers while she was principal at JSE. Proud Bearcat moments! #BearcatPride

Bearcat Spotlight: Today was a solemn day in Mrs. Ornelas' 6th grade classroom as the students held a funeral for all of the boring and overused words. Mrs. Ornelas always finds creative ways to make lessons engaging, and this one was no exception. The Grim Reaper even made an appearance, adding a twist to the farewell of tired vocabulary. Students were fully immersed, actively participating in discussions about alternative words and brainstorming ways to elevate their writing. Way to go Mrs. Ornelas for finding unique ways to help our students succeed!

Students in Wheeler High School's dual credit Earth/Space Science classes spent last Friday exploring the geologic history of the NWI region. They examined landforms created during the last ice age such as kettle lakes and moraines, and explored 4,000-15,000 year-old dunes/shorelines created when Lake Michigan was higher than it is today.

Opening night of Goosebumps the Musical presented by our very own Bearcat Theatre. It's fantastic so far! Come see for yourself and bring your kids. Additional shows tomorrow and Sunday. Incredible performance Bearcats!

Bearcat Spotlight: Our 8th Grade Honors Social Studies students have been hard at work preparing for their We the People hearing presentations. This year, we’re excited to participate in our first-ever We the People scrimmage at Hobart Middle School on October 30th. The students have demonstrated incredible dedication, working together to write, edit, and present their unit information.
A huge thank you to Mr. Harnew for leading this initiative and for always going above and beyond to support our Bearcats. His commitment to excellence is truly appreciated!

Thank you to Cara Pryor, our Ivy Tech coach, for helping our students earn their college credits!
